The Safiya Bukhari-Albert Nuh Washington Foundation: "To
Support The Families, Health And Legal Campaigns Of United States Held Political Prisoners/POWs & Exiles

Contrary to official statements by the Government, there are hundreds of Political Prisoners and POWs being unjustly held in prisons throughout the United States Of America (U.S.A.)
Additionally, due to continuous harassment and threats of imprisonment or death, there are many citizens of the U.S.A. forced to live outside it's borders as Political Exiles.
Victims of the illegal FBI COINTELPRO frame-ups of the 60's, 70's and 80's, the overwhelming majority of these activists were members of the original Black Panther Party, Black Liberation Army, American Indian Movement, and the New Afrikan/Puerto Rican Independence Movements.
Falsely, labeled as "criminals" by both the government, racist law enforcement and the mainstream media; most of these modern day "Freedom Fighters" have been separated from their communities, families and loved ones for nearly 40 years.
For far too many years the individual and group campaigns that support these captured and exiled freedom fighters have been forced to struggle with legal, family and health issues in virtual isolation and anonymity.
The Mission of The Safiya Bukhari - Albert Nuh Washington Foundation is to nationally provide these Freedom/Justice Campaigns with funds, technical assistance and other resources that are needed to support the family, legal and health/medical needs of these captured and exiled freedom fighters.
We anticipate accepting funding proposals in November of 2006 and encourage "individuals" to sign on and/or support this long overdue project.
